The Taxi Insurer offers one lucky cabbie £2,000 prize at PHTM Expo

One lucky taxi driver will be £2,000 better off next month when the PHTM Expo returns to Arena MK in Milton Keynes for its annual event, thanks to taxi insurance broker The Taxi Insurer.

Mohammed Arshad, from Bristol, had been dutifully attending the Expo for the last 15 years, but it was only last year that he decided to enter the free prize draw offered by The Taxi Insurer on its stand. And it’s a good thing that he did, because he was fortunate enough to win £1,500 off his next insurance premium.

“When I received the call saying I had won, I couldn’t believe it!” he exclaimed. “I was ecstatic, to be honest. You always enter these competitions without any expectations, wondering if anyone ever really wins, so it was a lovely surprise.”

Why attend the Expo?

For more than 30 years now, taxi drivers have been coming to the Expo to learn about new regulation, keep abreast of the latest technology and network.

They also get to engage with the people making the decisions that will impact the future of their industry; test and buy the latest trade vehicles; try out and invest in the latest products and services; and socialise with likeminded colleagues from across the country.

What to do with the prize money saved?

In a pleasing echo of the previous winner of The Taxi Insurer’s prize draw, who used the money he’d saved on his insurance premium to travel to India to see his family, Mohammed plans to do something similar.

“I’ve put the money I saved on my insurance towards a holiday to Pakistan to see my family,” he explained. “It’s been two years since my last visit, so I’m really looking forward to it.”

To be in with a chance of winning the £2,000 prize, cabbies can visit The Taxi Insurer on Stand 29 at PHTM Expo at Arena MK, Milton Keynes, on Wednesday 13 May at 10am–5pm and Thursday 14 May at 10am–3pm.
